To the vet

I had to go to the vet this week. Nothing serious: just to get my yearly heartworm prevention injection. Heartworms are nasty little buggers, easy to prevent but hard to get rid of once you’re invested. Of course these things are not on my mind as I’m on this cold table, surrounded by weird smells, getting a needle in my poor neck. Kai…! Afterwards the vet also did some unspeakable things to my behind. Susan says this nasty phenomenon is a secret well kept by dog owners! Anyway, not all dogs need to go through this procedure on a regular basis, but I’m blessed with quite active glands. And there is no amount of fiber in the world that can stop me from, ehm… leaking sometimes.

So, afterwards I felt a bit violated. Tail between my legs, that kind of thing. But only for a minute or so, because I get distracted easily. Susan on the other hand felt bad for me for the rest of the day. That’s good news, because she ended up giving me a big dog treat! I think other dogs may enjoy these kind of things for a week or so, but I like to devour them within an hour or two. Afterwards I was nice and full. Aaaah!Ruby bone
